Chiropractic
Spinal adjustments are used to remove nerve irritations in the spine. For those who are too fragile or do not like the twisting and popping of normal adjustments, we also use the Sigma Instrument, a computerized spinal analysis and correction system that allows chiropractors to adjust the spine without the use of force.
Science and research prove that unhealthy spinal joint integrity will produce negative short and long-term changes. If a spinal joint loses the ability to move freely, degeneration begins to occur almost immediately. A lack of spinal joint mobility also accompanies neural degeneration, neuroplasticity changes, neural and muscle atrophy, and produces nerve, bone and muscle weakness at an average rate of two to four weeks. A misaligned or improperly moving spinal vertebra produces nerve, bone and muscle degeneration within two to four weeks as well. The negative reactions occur even without the presence of pain or symptoms. Regular and consistent Chiropractic adjustments provide the necessary foundation for optimal health and well-being.
Active Release Technique
Active Release Technique (ART) is a soft tissue, a movement-based technique that treats problems with muscles, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. This technique aims to restore normal movement of muscles and to release any entrapped nerves or blood vessels from scar tissue. While necessary for healing, scar tissue may stick to adjacent structures restricting the range of motion and may cause compression over nerves or blood vessels altering the texture of the soft tissue. The combination of chiropractic adjustments with ART is an effective way to treat and heal many injuries and other preexisting conditions; many patients feel improvement within one to six visits.
Kinesio Tape
Kinesiology helps with soft tissue injuries for both chronic and acute conditions, allowing for faster recovery. It has the ability to re-educate the neuromuscular system, reduce inflammation, prevent injury, promote good circulation and healing; assisting the body in returning to homeostasis.
Percussive therapy
Percussion therapy is a gentle treatment approach for muscle and ligament problems and related myofascial conditions. The Percussor is a hand-held instrument that distributes waves of percussive impulses deep into the tissues of the body which promotes an increase in lymphatic flow and circulation. Percussion also can be used to decrease muscle spasm, release joints, and to loosen up fixated areas without using massive forces.
Low-level Laser Therapy
Low-level laser therapy (LLLT) treats many conditions including but not limited to chronic neck pain, post-operative pain, shoulder pain, and heel pain related to plantar fasciitis. The treatment is often useful in reducing pain and inflammation and can enhance both hard and soft tissue healing such as bones, muscles, and ligaments. During soft tissue laser therapy, the oxygen level of tissue is elevated thereby allowing injured or damaged cells to absorb the photons of light from the laser. In turn, LLLT accelerates healing for the patient. It is a non-invasive, pain-free solution with no side effects with a drug-free modality.
